Senior Site Architect (Abu Dhabi)

Role Overview

Customer-Focused Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with client relations and expectation management.
• Support responses to client clarifications on technical and contractual issues.
• Support the organization of third-party inspections.
• Help ensure client satisfaction with construction supervision services.

Internal Business Responsibilities

• Obtain contract documents from the Contractor before construction starts and review them.
• Forward RFIs to the Associate Project Manager and attend project kick-off meetings as requested.
• Prepare BOQ breakdowns including material, labor, testing and commissioning, overhead, and profit.
• Obtain authority-approved documents from the Contractor.
• Review material submittals for compliance with standards, specifications, local rules, codes, and regulations.
• Review contractor shop drawings and forward approvals when complete and compliant.
• Inspect site work against approved shop drawings and K&A standards.
• Prepare progress reports and supervise supervision-file filing and archiving.
• Support correspondence and review monthly contractor payments for approval.
• Implement corporate policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture Engineering.
• Chartered Professional Engineering certification or equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction supervision services.
• Understanding of international engineering standards and codes.
• Interpersonal, leadership, communication, planning, organizational, attention-to-detail, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English.

Specific Experience

• Eight or more years of experience in an engineering function in a contracting company or in construction supervision.
• Experience within the Middle East.

Workplace

• The job location is Abu Dhabi.
• The role is site-based within construction supervision services.
