- Perform advanced SAP Basis administration tasks including system installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management
- Monitor SAP systems to identify performance issues and proactively implement solutions to enhance system stability and efficiency
- Manage database administration and tuning, ensuring optimal SAP HANA or other SAP supported databases performance
- Lead complex troubleshooting efforts across SAP landscapes and coordinate with cross functional teams to resolve issues
- Implement security policies and user administration to safeguard SAP environments
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Basis consultants, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices
- Document procedures, system configurations, and changes for compliance and knowledge management
- Collaborate with project teams on SAP system migrations, landscape transformations, and new implementations
- Participate in on call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical SAP systems as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Minimum 7 years of experience in SAP Basis consulting or administration roles
- Expertise in SAP system installations, upgrades, and performance tuning, including SAP HANA
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP HANA) and operating systems (Linux, Windows)
- Experience with SAP security, user administration, and transport management
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience mentoring junior team members and leading technical initiatives
- Relevant SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Technology Specialist or above are highly desirable
