We are looking for a
Senior Sanitation Manager
who leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cleaning, inspection, sanitation, and environmental monitoring programs across multiple plants to minimize microbial risk.
This role ensures compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements, strengthens hygienic design and cleaning validation, and drives risk-based environmental monitoring, trending, and CAPA effectiveness to proactively manage contamination risks across the AMEA Business Unit.
The manager serves as the primary coach and trainer for plant team members and interfaces with QA, Operations, Engineering, EH&S, External Manufacturing, sanitation vendors, and external labs to maintain a robust, data-driven hygiene program.
This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and multi-site coordination capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Lead sanitation and environmental monitoring (EM) programs across multiple plants
- Drive microbiological risk reduction and ensure compliance with global standards
- Develop and implement hygiene and sanitation validation processes
- Design and lead risk-based environmental monitoring systems
- Analyze data trends and lead CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
- Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Operations, Engineering, and external stakeholders
- Coach and upskill plant teams to strengthen sanitation capabilities
- Drive continuous improvement in hygienic design and sanitation practices
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum
- 6+ years of experience
- in sanitation, quality, microbiology, or food safety
- Strong expertise in
- GMP, sanitation practices, and environmental monitoring
- Experience with regulatory standards such as
HACCP, FSMA, ISO
- Knowledge of
- cleaning validation, CIP/COP processes, and EM systems
- Ability to design and implement
- SSOPs and risk-based quality programs
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder influencing skills
- Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry
- , or related field
- Strong understanding of
- hygienic design and equipment sanitation requirements
- Knowledge of
- microbiological risk assessment and contamination control strategies
