Senior React Native Engineer, HFC

Build and ship high-quality React Native applications using Expo and Tamagui for shared design systems and cross-platform UI.

Translate designs and product specs into responsive, maintainable components and flows.

Implement animations and transitions that feel natural and performant, including rich video or media interactions.

Integrate APIs and services, including native platform APIs and analytics tools like PostHog.

Ensure app stability and performance through rigorous testing, debugging, profiling, and optimization.

Collaborate across disciplines with product, design, and backend teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality releases.

Continuously refine build processes, tooling, and deployment pipelines (App Store / Play Store).

Stay current with the React Native ecosystem, Expo SDK releases and platform best practices.

5+ years of professional mobile development experience, including 3+ years with React Native.

Strong proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript, with exposure to Kotlin or Swift a plus.

Hands-on experience with Expo, Tamagui, and modern UI component architectures.

Proven ability to deliver pixel-perfect UI from Figma or similar prototypes.

Experience implementing smooth animations, transitions, and media-heavy interactions.

Strong understanding of app architecture, performance tuning, and automated testing.

Familiarity with mobile release workflows (TestFlight, Play Console).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills - comfortable working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), Slack, Lucid, and Notion for collaboration and documentation.
