Responsibilities
- Lead the development and improvement of new and existing products
- Manage product trials and production implementation
- Prepare product formulations, technical specifications, and Technical Data Sheets (TDS)
- Provide technical support and product training to customers and internal teams
- Ensure product labeling and documentation comply with regulatory requirements
- Support and mentor junior R&D team members
- Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards
- Manage customer technical inquiries and complaints
- Support audits and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor supplier quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in food technology, Food Science, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in Research & Development within the food manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of product development, food safety, quality systems, and food regulations
- Experience in product trials, product commercialization, and technical documentation
- Strong technical knowledge of food products and manufacturing processes
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Team player with leadership and mentoring abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent command of written and spoken English

Position Overview
- Based at BanoPuratos UAE, we are currently seeking a Senior R&D Specialist.
- Reporting to the R&D Manager, the Senior R&D Specialist is responsible for leading the development and improvement of products based on customer requirements, market trends, and business needs.
- The role supports product innovation, ensures successful implementation into production, provides technical expertise across departments, and maintains compliance with quality, food safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the development and improvement of new and existing products.
- Manage product trials and production implementation.
- Prepare product formulations, technical specifications, and Technical Data Sheets (TDS).
