Role Overview
Contract Senior QA Automation Engineer role focused on automated testing frameworks for high-impact software projects.
The role supports software quality and reliability across multiple platforms and environments.
Location and Work Arrangement
- Remote role with work-from-anywhere arrangement.
Compensation
- Contract payout is $30-$80 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test scripts with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Execute and maintain automated suites for functionality, performance, and security validation.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines with development and product teams.
- Analyze test results, document defects, and support issue resolution.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and improve testing methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least five years of QA automation engineering experience.
- Expertise in Python, Java, or JavaScript scripting.
- Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Postman for API testing.
- Experience with Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Understanding of Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI and test automation integration.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex system behavior and automated test failures.
- Git and branching strategy familiarity for test code management.
- Performance and load testing with JMeter or Gatling is a plus.
