Senior QA Automation Engineer role focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks for high-impact software projects.
The position supports software quality and reliability across multiple platforms and environments.
The role is remote, contract-based, and pays $30 to $80 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Execute and maintain automated test suites covering software functionality, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test results, document defects, and work with engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to testing methodologies and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least five years of QA automation engineering experience.
- Expertise in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Proficiency with automated testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Postman for API testing.
- Experience with test frameworks such as Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Ability to analyze complex system behavior and troubleshoot automated test failures.
- Familiarity with Git and branching strategies for test code management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in validating software quality.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling is a plus.
