Role Overview
The employer is hiring a Senior QA Automation Engineer for a client to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks.
The role supports software quality and reliability across multiple platforms and environments.
The position is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
Employment and Compensation
- The job type is contract.
- Compensation is $30-$80 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Execute and maintain automated test suites for functionality, performance, and security validation.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines with developers and product teams.
- Analyze test results, document defects, and help engineering teams resolve issues.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and improve testing methodologies and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 5 years of QA automation engineering experience is required.
- Expertise in Python, Java, or JavaScript is required.
- Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Postman for API testing is required.
- Experience with Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG is required.
- Understanding of Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI for CI/CD integration is required.
- Performance and load testing experience with JMeter or Gatling is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git and branching strategies is required.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
