The employer is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for high-impact software projects.
The role supports software quality and reliability across multiple platforms and environments while contributing to scalable software delivery.
Location and Work Arrangement
- The role is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
- The position is offered on a contract basis.
Compensation
- The stated payout is $30 to $80 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test scripts with frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Execute and maintain automated suites for functionality, performance, and security validation.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines with development and product teams.
- Analyze test results, document defects, and collaborate on issue resolution.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and improve testing methods and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least five years of QA automation engineering experience with scripting expertise in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Proficiency with automated testing tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Postman for API testing.
- Experience with Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG for structured test execution.
- Strong understanding of Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI for CI/CD test integration.
- Ability to analyze complex system behavior and troubleshoot automated test failures.
- Familiarity with JMeter or Gatling for performance and load testing is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git and branching strategies for managing test code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
