Role Overview
Seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for high-impact software projects.
The role supports software quality and reliability across multiple platforms and environments through test development, result analysis, and defect identification.
Location and Work Arrangement
- The role is remote and described as work from anywhere.
Compensation
- Contract role paying $30-$80 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Execute and maintain automated test suites covering functionality, performance, and security.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines with developers and product teams.
- Analyze test results, document defects, and collaborate with engineering teams on resolution.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and improve testing methodologies and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 5 years of QA automation engineering experience.
- Expertise in Python, Java, or JavaScript scripting.
- Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Postman for API testing.
- Experience with Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Strong understanding of Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI for CI/CD integration.
- Ability to analyze complex system behavior and troubleshoot automated test failures.
- Familiarity with Git and branching strategies for test code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- JMeter or Gatling experience is a plus.
