Role Overview
Senior QA Automation Engineer engaged on a contract basis for high-impact software projects.
Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks across multiple platforms and environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve software quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Execute and maintain automated test suites for functionality, performance, and security.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines with developers and product teams.
- Analyze test results, document defects, and work with engineering teams on resolution.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and improve testing methodologies and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum five years of QA automation engineering experience.
- Expertise in Python, Java, or JavaScript scripting.
- Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Postman for API testing.
- Experience with Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG test frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI for CI/CD integration.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex automated test failures.
- Familiarity with Git and branching strategies for test code management.
- Experience with JMeter or Gatling performance and load testing is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Compensation
- Contract payout is $30 to $80 per hour.
