Role Overview
The Senior QA Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for high-impact software projects.
The role supports software quality and reliability across multiple platforms and environments and involves collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Job Terms
- The position is a contract role with payout of $30 to $80 per hour.
Workplace
- The role is remote and can be performed from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Execute and maintain automated test suites for functionality, performance, and security.
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines with developers and product teams.
- Analyze results, document defects, and support issue resolution with engineering teams.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and improve testing methods and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least five years of QA automation engineering experience is required.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript is required.
- Experience with automated testing tools, structured test frameworks, CI/CD tools, and version control is required.
- The candidate must be able to analyze complex system behavior and troubleshoot automated test failures.
- Performance and load testing experience with tools such as JMeter or Gatling is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
