As a Senior Projects Engineer (Airbus/Boeing) you will lead cross-functional teams in defining aircraft configuration and interiors customisation or IFE and avionics projects for Emirates’ future fleet.
From initial technical specification through design, development, certification, and entry into service, this role drives innovation in interiors, cabin products, IFE, connectivity, and avionics, across Boeing and Airbus programs.
You will operate at the intersection of engineering excellence and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring Emirates remains at the forefront of passenger experience and operational efficiency.
In this role you will: Define product and system requirements, by developing robust technical specifications based on operational needs, stakeholder input, industry trends, and in-service feedback to guide the selection of BFE/SFE components and systems.
Manage and mentor a team of engineers through all project phases, from concept design to testing, certification, and delivery of aircraft systems and features.
Manage project execution and risk management by applying best practices in project and resource management to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery while identifying and mitigating risks aligned with stakeholder expectations.
Manage stakeholder engagement and entry into service by coordinating with OEMs, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure smooth aircraft delivery and entry into service, covering documentation, training, and material readiness.
Lead the aircraft configuration and definitions for Boeing and Airbus fleets, including option packages, SCNs, and cabin layouts, ensuring alignment with operational and program requirements.
Ensure full regulatory compliance and certification oversight with EASA, FAA, GCAA, cybersecurity etc across all assigned commodities and projects, integrating feedback throughout development and certification phases.
Direct the review of aircraft definition documents and finalise trim and finish specifications, ensuring alignment with brand, regulatory, and operational standards.
