Job Description
The Senior Project Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing project schedules to support timely project completion.
The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, analyzes potential risks, and provides insights for project decision-making.
The planner serves as a key contact for project reporting and planning and contributes to efficient execution of company objectives.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using designated planning tools.
- Monitor project progress and performance against milestones and project goals.
- Identify risks, delays, and challenges affecting project execution and recommend mitigation.
- Coordinate schedules and resource availability with project managers and cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and present reports on progress, risks, and variances to stakeholders and management.
- Evaluate scheduling metrics to improve processes and forecasting accuracy.
Key Requirements
- Strong proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Project planning experience in an engineering, construction, or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex data to forecast project outcomes.
- Understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a relevant field is required.
- Project planning and scheduling certification such as PMI-SP is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience planning large-scale projects within a matrix organizational framework.
- Background in risk management or control systems.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
- Advanced knowledge of analytics and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in additional languages.
Compensation
- Base salary is listed as $101,772 to $128,825; the compensation cadence is not specified in the source.
