- Provide project leadership either as a Senior Project Manager on large projects or as a Project Director on medium to small projects
- Ensure projects meet business revenue, profit and cash flow expectations and provide accurate reporting
- Lead the delivery team which could comprise of Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers, and Design Managers
- Work with resource managers to undertake forward planning to ensure there is adequate capacity to meet requirements
- Coordinate a common understanding of scope, programme, costs, constraints, risk and interfaces on your projects
- Ensure compliance with Client, Business Management, Governance, Technical, HSE and Quality requirements
- Ensure project management and contract administration through the project life cycle
- Support the Project Management community to share best practice and learnings and help to ensure a consistent approach to delivery
- Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and other team members, as required
- Develop and maintain client relationships to support project delivery performance and maximise potential for project extensions and new work
- Support Regional Client Directors to shape and deliver Transportation Rail strategy for the region
- Provide bid leadership on selective pursuits, either as Bid Manager for large projects or as a Bid Director for medium to small projects
Requirements
- Significant experience of Project Manager roles on large scale multidisciplinary UK infrastructure projects (>£5M design fees per annum) from a design perspective
- Experience of managing construction programmes and/or project management in the rail sector (e.g. with Network Rail and/or HS2 and Principal Contractors)
- Ability to work constructively and collaboratively with clients so that AtkinsRéalis' commercial objectives are protected and met
- Good understanding of design procedures, change control, checking and review requirements
- Understand and has experience in deploying various forms of construction contract, in particular NEC3 or 4 and/or bespoke forms of contract
- Professional membership and recognised level of Project Management competence (e.g. MAPM, MICE, PMQ, ChPP, or equivalent) – desirable

Overview
- AtkinsRéalis Transportation Project Delivery Practice (PDP) is the centre of excellence for the delivery of major transportation infrastructure projects.
- The team is responsible for delivery of design services across Rail and Transit, Highways, Local Transport, and other sectors including Defence and Nuclear.
- This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager looking to lead the successful delivery of projects and progress into a Project Director role.
Your Role Delivery and Leadership
- Provide project leadership either as a Senior Project Manager on large projects or as a Project Director on medium to small projects.
