Job Overview

Lead the design, development, qualification, and optimization of well completion products within the Oil & Gas industry.

Drive product innovation, reliability improvements, and engineering excellence while meeting API, ISO, customer, and internal standards.

Provide technical leadership across product development and collaborate with global cross-functional teams.

Work on advanced downhole technologies, complex engineering projects, and engineering-team mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, qualification, and optimization of packers, completion tools, and downhole equipment.
  • Manage product development from concept through qualification, validation, commercialization, and field deployment.
  • Perform advanced calculations, FEA, stress analysis, fatigue analysis, and performance validation.
  • Resolve structural integrity, sealing, pressure containment, and reliability challenges.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, reliability studies, failure investigations, and design improvements.
  • Lead feasibility studies, risk assessments, FMEA, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with API, ISO, customer specifications, and internal engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, operations, and HSE teams.
  • Maintain qualification reports, design guidelines, engineering documentation, and change records.
  • Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership.
  • Support field operations and customer-facing teams with technical troubleshooting.
  • Champion HSE, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Well Completion Products and Downhole Tool design.
  • Mechanical design and new product development.
  • Finite Element Analysis, stress analysis, and fatigue analysis.
  • Failure analysis, reliability engineering, and FMEA.
  • Product qualification, testing, and validation.
  • API and ISO standards knowledge.
  • CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
  • Project management, cross-functional collaboration, technical leadership, and mentoring.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering and product development experience.
  • Extensive experience with well completion products and downhole tools.
  • Strong understanding of API, ISO, and Oil & Gas industry standards.
  • Experience leading complex engineering projects and technical teams.
  • Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and engineering analysis software.
