About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Project Cost Accountant with 5-10 years of experience in consumer durable manufacturing. The role involves preparing commercial cost sheets, breaking down material and manpower costs, and ensuring alignment with pricing strategy.

Responsibilities
- Prepare complete commercial cost sheets immediately after receiving customer proposals or RFQs
- Break down material requirements and estimate accurate material costs
- Calculate manpower requirements including hours, hourly rates, and overtime or special skill premiums
- Identify and quantify all additional costs such as referral fees, shipping, subcontracting, consumables, and other project specific expenses
- Prepare consolidated cost sheets showing projected revenue, total cost, and gross margin
- Ensure costing aligns with pricing strategy, margin expectations, and operational capabilities
- Perform accounting and bookkeeping, manage receivables and payables, period end closing, tax compliance, project accounting, and MIS reporting
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in cost accounting or project accounting
- Hands on experience in preparing commercial cost sheets from customer proposals or RFQs
- Ability to break down material requirements and estimate material costs
- Ability to calculate manpower requirements including hours, rates, and premiums
- Experience in identifying and quantifying additional costs (shipping, subcontracting, etc.)
- Proficiency in accounting and bookkeeping, receivables and payables, period end closing, tax compliance, and MIS reporting
- Experience in consumer durable manufacturing industry
