Role overview

Lead a strategic Data Quality & Transformation Programme for a Tier 1 investment bank.

Establish, shape and govern a complex data remediation initiative for client reference data across Front Office business areas.

Bring structure to fragmented data issues and deliver a roadmap for remediation and sustainable improvement.

Contract details

  • The role is a fixed term contract.
  • The role starts in September 2026.

Location and working pattern

  • The role is based in Canary Wharf, London.
  • The minimum working expectation is three days per week in the office and two days from home, subject to client policy.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess and document the current state of client reference data quality issues.
  • Drive data management best practices across Front Office business areas.
  • Establish programme governance, including RAID management, reporting, steering committees and stakeholder forums.
  • Define programme scope, structure and delivery approach.
  • Engage senior stakeholders across Front Office, Operations and Technology.
  • Prioritise and sequence remediation workstreams.
  • Lead business process improvement and associated change initiatives.
  • Coordinate analyst resources and support AI-related data readiness activities.
  • Provide programme updates and reporting to senior leadership.

Required experience

  • Extensive programme or project management experience in investment banking or financial services.
  • Strong Front Office experience, ideally across Fixed Income, Credit, Rates or FX.
  • Experience delivering data quality, data governance, reference data or data transformation programmes.
  • Experience establishing programme governance across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Success driving business process change within complex organisations.
  • Ability to influence Director and Managing Director-level stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between business processes, data and technology.
  • A valid UK working permit is mandatory.

Advantageous experience

  • Experience working with data platforms or supporting AI and data readiness initiatives is advantageous.
