Support program reporting and analytics initiatives within Western Union’s Compliance Team.
The position is full-time for a 24-month fixed term and reports to the Senior Manager, AML Compliance.
Role responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate concurrent regulatory reporting projects, including research, analysis, testing, implementation, and post-rollout review.
- Source and synthesise information from datasets, regulatory publications, policies, procedures, operational documentation, and stakeholder interviews.
- Deliver data-driven outcomes that strengthen controls and enable safe business growth.
- Prepare executive-quality dashboards, reports, presentations, and communications for varied audiences.
- Drive deliverables under tight deadlines and train or mentor peers and lower-level analysts.
Role requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or financial or operational reporting.
- Advanced data extraction and transformation skills and strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and macros.
- Experience designing, automating, and maintaining dashboards and reports.
- Experience with at least one BI or visualisation tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and translate findings into recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder communication, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and data governance capabilities.
- A degree is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of AML/CTF, AUSTRAC expectations, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, suspicious matter reporting, sanctions compliance, and project management.
Work shift
- The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days per week to support in-person collaboration.
