The opportunity
Fixed-term, full-time Senior Program Officer position in Youth Justice based in Melbourne until 30 June 2027.
Support rehabilitative outcomes for young people subject to Youth Justice statutory oversight.
Contribute to evidence-based rehabilitation frameworks, assessments, interventions, and system improvements.
Compensation
- VPS5 salary is $116,413 to $140,849 per year plus superannuation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement priority projects, including the Case Management Intervention Tool and Quality Assurance process review.
- Drive system improvements, rehabilitation outcomes for priority groups, and best-practice case management interventions.
- Provide authoritative advice, recommendations, and solutions on complex and sensitive issues.
- Support High-Risk Panel secretariat activities, including minutes, scheduling, action tracking, and stakeholder support.
- Review and evaluate service delivery and practice to identify risks and trends for service and policy improvements.
- Drive reforms and rehabilitative initiatives to reduce youth reoffending.
- Facilitate training and professional development opportunities.
