As our new Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be designing, developing, and testing embedded software components in C for RTOS-based applications, working hands-on with communication protocols, low-level drivers, and hardware debugging across global agile teams. What you will be doing As a key part of the Embedded Software Development team, you'll create impact by Developing reliable, high-quality embedded solutions that drive the next generation of Grundfos products, helping the world move water more sustainably and efficiently.. Your main responsibilities include: • Design, develop, and test embedded software in C, including low-level drivers and communication protocols (RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, Modbus) on RTOS platforms • Perform hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and emulators while interpreting schematics to resolve complex issues • Write and execute unit tests using frameworks like CPPUnit and support continuous integration pipelines with Jenkins • Create and maintain high/low-level design documentation ensuring structured, modularized code • Collaborate with global, cross-functional agile teams to analyze technical problems, challenge assumptions, and deliver elegant solutions • Contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of development processes What makes you a great fit Above all, you are a hands-on embedded software engineer with deep expertise in C programming, RTOS environments, and hardware-level debugging, who thrives in collaborative agile settings and takes pride in writing clean, well-tested code. We would also imagine that you have: • B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics or related field with 8-12 years of embedded software development experience • Strong proficiency in Embedded C, low-level driver development, and RTOS concepts (e.g., ThreadX) • Hands-on experience with communication protocols (RS232, RS485, I2C, SPI, Modbus) and hardware debugging tools • Experience with Git version control, unit testing frameworks, and agile development practices It is a plus if you also: • Experience with Renesas MCU architectures (RX, V850, RL78) and IAR Embedded Workbench • Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI tools and CPPUnit testing framework • Strong written and oral English communication and presentation skills
