About Xometry

Xometry operates a digital marketplace connecting buyers with manufacturers and manufacturing capacity.

Role Overview

Lead product design across key product and business problems as a Senior Product Designer.

Move from concept to production using AI tools across research, design, and development workflows.

Serve as a founding designer for Xometry's India Product Development and Technology team.

Help establish strong design practices, data practices, cross-region trust, and collaboration.

Product Design and UX

  • Translate complex workflows and user needs into simple, intuitive design solutions.
  • Use research, data, and customer insights to inform and validate design decisions.

Cross-Functional Development

  • Partner with Business, Product, and Engineering from problem definition through launch.
  • Explain design rationale clearly and iterate using feedback, research, and data.

AI-Driven Design and Development

  • Create production-ready outputs using tools such as Cursor, Claude, and other AI-enabled environments.
  • Contribute code-adjacent artifacts and prototypes to accelerate development.
  • Identify and scale AI-enabled design workflows that improve speed and quality.

India Product Development Center

  • Establish strong product design practices as a founding product designer for the India center.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of product design experience on digital products.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating UX, interaction design, and visual design.
  • Experience using AI tools in design, research, or development workflows.
  • Experience translating design artifacts into functional prototypes or code with AI-assisted tools.
  • Examples of AI-assisted workflows in a portfolio.
  • Experience with complex workflows, marketplaces, or B2B products.
  • Familiarity with design systems and component-based design.
  • Exposure to user research or data-informed design.
  • Ability to explain design decisions, incorporate feedback, and work within product constraints.
  • Ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines with guidance from a Design Lead.

Tools and Working Style

  • Relevant tools may include Figma, Bolt, UX Pilot, Pencil, Make, Cursor, Claude, GitHub, and modern design systems.
  • The role requires comfort with ambiguous workflows where AI is part of the execution layer.
  • The role requires judgment about when to use AI versus traditional approaches.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, learning, and continuous improvement are expected.
