The Senior/Principal Machine Learning Engineer reports to the Head of AI Engineering.
The role translates advances in artificial intelligence, including foundation models and self-supervised learning, into AI-as-a-medical-device products.
The role works in dynamic teams with Software Developers, Testers, Cloud DevOps, and Integration Engineers.
What you will do
- Develop AI algorithms, prototypes, and healthcare solutions focused on foundation models and self-supervised learning.
- Optimise models and training pipelines for accuracy, scale, and rapid experimentation.
- Follow agile methodology and software engineering best practice, including test-driven development, validation, and iteration.
- Provide technical and project progress reports and document project progression.
- Engage with literature to benchmark against and adopt state-of-the-art techniques and algorithms.
