This is a senior engineering role responsible for delivering high-quality, compliant and cost-effective primary design solutions for substation and connection projects across distribution networks (11kV to 132kV). The role supports projects from tenders, Part A feasibilities to Part B Detailed Design packages, ensuring successful outcomes through technical leadership and collaboration. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure designs meet contractual, technical and programme requirements. Key aspects of the role include: Leading the delivery of primary design packages in line with project requirements and agreed contractual timescales Supporting projects (Feasibility & Detailed Design) from tender through to completion, including technical input into bids Collaborating with engineering, project management, commercial teams, clients and suppliers proactively and professionally Preparing and reviewing engineering documentation, including RFIs (Requests For Information) and TQs (Technical Queries) Identifying technical risks, contract changes and supporting the preparation of CEs (Compensation Events) and EWNs (Early Warning Notices) Contributing to resource planning, cost estimation, and equipment specification Supporting project reporting, reviews and stakeholder communication Identifying and co-ordinating with external delivery partners where required Working Conditions - Monday - Friday , 40 contractual hours per week. This role will be offered on a remote working basis with occasional travel to BRUSH Group locations across the UK for team meetings & site visits. Attendance at our office locations may be required to support onboarding, training and development where necessary therefore candidates should live within a comfortable commuting distance to either our Cardiff/Glasgow/Hook or Loughborough office locations.
