Part of the BRUSH Group - ETA projects is a Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) engineering consultancy delivering the design and specification of complex building services systems across a diverse portfolio of projects. Many schemes are developed to achieve ambitious sustainability objectives, including BREEAM certification and compliance with The London Plan. The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical infrastructure projects, undertaking technical assessments, engineering calculations, and the preparation of design reports and supporting documentation. The role will involve the development and presentation of technical solutions for the replacement and upgrade of critical electrical infrastructure assets, as well as the delivery of new electrical systems. A significant proportion of ETA's work is undertaken within live healthcare environments, requiring the design and coordination of critical electrical infrastructure including MV/LV transformers, switchgear, standby generation systems, and associated electrical distribution networks. Experience in healthcare electrical infrastructure projects, particularly within operational hospital environments, is highly desirable. However, experience in alternative critical environments will be considered. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with proven experience in collaborating with NHS representatives, project managers, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams. They will work closely with mechanical, electrical, public health, sustainability, and specialist engineering disciplines to develop coordinated, resilient, and compliant engineering solutions that support the operational requirements of critical healthcare facilities. Working Conditions - 37.5 contractual hours per week , Monday to Friday . Hybrid working model (typically consisting of 2 days home working and 3 days office working per week) Key Responsibilities: Production of electrical system designs and specifications, including producing design calculations and review of electrical system designs and specifications Acting as a project leader on projects Review of electrical system designs and specifications Production of technical reports Undertake site surveys Coordination with external design teams; architectural, structural, PQS, CDM, etc and internal team; CAD, Revit, electrical, public health, sustainability disciplines. Experience using software applications - Microsoft Office, Hevacomp, Amtech, Excel, MS Project Knowledge of British standards, building regulations documents Knowledge of HTMs would also be of benefit.
