Qatar Insurance Company is an insurance provider in the GCC with a digital hub focused on combining insurance and non-insurance services in one regional digital ecosystem.
The role is part of the Retail Insurance team.
Role Overview
Drive pricing strategy and portfolio profitability by developing and optimizing tariff models.
Ensure pricing decisions are grounded in claims experience, risk segmentation, portfolio performance, and market competitiveness.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Motor Insurance pricing and tariff models using frequency-severity, generalized linear models, and other relevant approaches.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify drivers of deviations from profitability targets.
- Prepare tariff adjustment recommendations supporting sales, profitability, and loss ratio objectives.
- Conduct rate adequacy, competitor pricing, and customer sensitivity analysis.
- Support tariff approval, rate filing, and regulatory submission processes where applicable.
- Partner with Actuarial, Underwriting, Product, Claims, and Data teams.
- Build pricing dashboards and management reports and present findings to stakeholders.
