Role Overview
The Senior Presales Engineer designs, positions, and supports enterprise infrastructure and end-user computing solutions across the region.
The role acts as a trusted technical advisor during customer engagements, solution architecture, proposals, and validation activities.
The focus includes enterprise infrastructure, virtualization, hybrid cloud, end-user computing, business continuity, and data center modernization.
Solution Architecture and Customer Engagement
- Develop high-level designs, architecture documents, technical proposals, bills of materials, compliance matrices, and RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses.
- Lead solution sizing, architecture validation, and technical assessments.
- Conduct customer workshops, presentations, demonstrations, and architecture discussions.
- Lead proof-of-concepts and technical evaluation activities.
- Support opportunity qualification and solution positioning with sales teams.
Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions
- Design solutions covering rack and blade servers, hyperconverged infrastructure, enterprise storage, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Design high-availability and business continuity architectures.
- Support data center modernization initiatives.
- Support hybrid cloud, private cloud, containers, Kubernetes, OpenShift, automation, and orchestration discussions.
- Design VDI, endpoint management, collaboration, client device, and operating system lifecycle solutions.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Coordinate with vendors on design validation, technical alignment, and commercial support.
- Work with sales and delivery teams to align solutions and support project handover.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Lead internal technical knowledge-sharing and enablement sessions.
- Contribute to technical standards, reusable templates, best practices, and capability development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least seven years of experience in enterprise infrastructure presales, solution architecture, or system integration.
- Strong expertise in infrastructure, data center technologies, virtualization, HCI, backup, disaster recovery, end-user computing, VDI, hybrid cloud, and private cloud.
- Good understanding of containers, Kubernetes, automation, orchestration, high availability, and disaster recovery architectures.
- Experience with one or more listed vendors or technologies, including Dell, Nutanix, VMware, Red Hat, Veeam, Cohesity, Huawei, Citrix, Omnissa, or IBM.
- Experience supporting enterprise and government customer engagements is preferred.
Preferred Certifications
- Preferred certifications include VMware VCP, Nutanix NCP, Dell Technologies, Veeam, Cohesity, Red Hat, Oracle Hardware, and Huawei certifications.
