About the Role
DataFirst Solutions seeks a Senior Power BI Consultant with AI experience for a government client in Abu Dhabi. The role involves designing Power BI dashboards, developing semantic models, implementing Microsoft Fabric Copilot, and collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide meaningful business insights
- Develop and optimize semantic models to support enterprise reporting and AI enabled analytics
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, manipulate, and analyze data from Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Implement and configure Microsoft Fabric Copilot and Data Agent solutions to enable natural language data exploration and business insights
- Build and refine approved business attributes, semantic models, and instructions required for Copilot and Data Agent accuracy
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, KPIs, business rules, and AI use case scenarios
- Support integration of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Copilot, and Data Agent solutions for business users
- Monitor and maintain data quality, accuracy, and integrity across reporting and analytics systems
- Automate data processes and develop efficient data pipelines for reporting and analysis
- Support ongoing development of data governance, data standards, and reporting best practices
- Document data models, business logic, dashboards, and AI related configurations clearly and consistently
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years of overall experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related roles
- Strong hands on experience in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, SQL scripting, and performance optimization
- Professional experience working with Power BI and Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise reporting environments
- Proven experience in implementing Microsoft Fabric Copilot and Microsoft Fabric Data Agent
- Should have successfully implemented Copilot on Microsoft Fabric Data Agent for enterprise or business use cases
- Experience with dimensional modelling, including star and snowflake schemas, and building reusable semantic models
- Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, dashboard optimization, and large scale reporting solutions
- Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and AI enabled reporting use cases
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving ability, and structured debugging approach
- Strong documentation habits for maintaining clear records of models, data logic, measures, and AI configurations
- Familiarity with Agile or other project management methodologies
