About the Role

Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct staff to provide professional, safe and timely pharmaceutical services
- Develop, coordinate, implement and ensure compliance with policies and procedures and accreditation standards
- Schedule staff to ensure smooth workflow especially during peak hours
- Evaluate, develop and implement best practice recommendations related to medication safety
- Ensure medication verification and dispensing in outpatient pharmacy meets set time frames
- Conduct periodic performance evaluation of inpatient pharmacy staff and provide constructive feedback
- Report nearly expired medicines to medical stockroom and ensure return
- Troubleshoot variations and problems from day to day work
- Review monthly outpatient pharmacy indicators and address variations through performance improvement projects
- Ensure inventory of narcotic and controlled drugs is done every shift
- Provide training and detailed orientation for newly hired staff
- Oversee pharmacy automation systems maintenance and act as subject matter expert
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree of Pharmacy or higher
- 4 years’ experience with hospital pharmacy setting, including two years in outpatient hospital pharmacy
- License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority (e.g., SCFHS/DHA)
- Good command of oral and written English

Key Responsibilities
- Supervises and directs the staff to provide professional, safe and timely pharmaceutical services to the patients.
- Develops, coordinates, implements and ensures compliance with all Fakeeh Care and pharmacy services policies and procedures and ensures compliance of staff with accreditations standards.
- Schedules staff as required to be sure of the smooth of work especially during peak hours.
- Evaluates, develops and implements at all times best practice recommendations related to medication safety.
- Ensures that medication verification and medication dispensing in outpatient pharmacy meets set time frames.
- Conducts periodic performance evaluation of the inpatient pharmacy staff and gives the staff constructive feedback.
- Reports the nearly expired medicines (within 6 months) to medical stockroom, ensures return when applicable and subtracts from the inventory.
- Troubleshoots variations and problems that could arise from day to day work.
- Reviews on monthly basis outpatient pharmacy indicators and addresses variations by developing performance improvement projects.
- Ensures that inventory of narcotic and controlled drugs is done every shift and re check it.
- Ensures that pharmacists do the inventory of medicines and re checks the inventory.
- Provides training and detailed orientation for newly hired staff.
Requirements
- Experience: 4 years’ experience with hospital pharmacy setting, including two years in outpatient hospital pharmacy.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree of Pharmacy or higher.
- Language: Good command of oral and written English.
- Licenses / Certifications: License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS /DHA).
