Role overview
DWF is seeking a bilingual paralegal to join its Global Risks team in Dubai.
The role primarily supports the firm's insurance and reinsurance practice across the UAE and wider GCC.
The paralegal may also support the wider Dispute Resolution, Construction, and Finance & Restructuring teams as business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Assist with insurance and reinsurance disputes, policy coverage matters, claims handling, recoveries, and subrogated claims.
- Support regulatory and compliance matters affecting insurers and insurance intermediaries within the GCC.
- Assist with litigation and arbitration before the UAE Courts, DIFC Courts, ADGM Courts, and regional arbitral or dispute resolution tribunals.
- Prepare chronologies, claims summaries, litigation reports, witness bundles, hearing bundles, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with disclosure, document review, case files, matter plans, and procedural timetables.
- Undertake legal and factual research and assist with Arabic and English document translation.
- Liaise with insurers, brokers, loss adjusters, experts, clients, and other legal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is required.
