Senior Oracle Solaris Engineer

KalSoft is looking for an experienced

to operate, secure, and modernize Oracle Solaris and SPARC environments supporting critical government systems.

The role covers day-to-day administration, patching, compliance, and leading upgrade or migration projects for environments approaching support deadlines.

• Administer

environments, including SRU patching and lifecycle management

• Manage

SPARC infrastructure

, including T/M-series servers, Oracle VM Server for SPARC (LDoms), ILOM, and firmware

• Configure and support

Solaris Zones, Kernel Zones, ZFS storage, SMF services, and IPS packaging

• Operate high-availability clusters using

and support Oracle Database workloads

• Assess end-of-support exposure and lead upgrades to

or migrations to

• Harden systems against the

and client security baselines, and remediate audit and vulnerability findings

• Automate routine operations using

, while maintaining runbooks and disaster recovery procedures

• Provide

L3 incident and problem management

, including on-call support for critical systems

• Minimum

5+ years of hands-on Solaris administration

experience in production enterprise environments

• Strong experience with

SPARC hardware and virtualization (LDoms)

• Deep knowledge of

ZFS, Zones, SMF, DTrace, and Solaris networking

• Experience with

clustering and disaster recovery

for business-critical workloads

• Proven experience delivering at least

one Solaris upgrade or Solaris-to-Linux migration project

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in enterprise production environments supporting critical systems

• Oracle Certified Associate / Professional – Oracle Solaris
