Senior Operations Supervisor_Warehouse (Supply Chain/Logistics)

Position Summary

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, generally 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with hours varying according to business needs.

People Leadership

• Communicate specific and measurable performance standards.
• Interview hourly associates and provide recommendations for hire.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance, and provide counseling or recognition as needed.

Operations

• Supervise customer service, freight loading and unloading, dispatch, documentation, and procedure control.
• Recommend work-method changes to improve warehouse and dispatch productivity.
• Assist with new-associate training and provide operational coverage during absences.
• Use site operating systems to ensure compliance and resolve exceptions.
• Complete required records and reports accurately and on time.

Finance and Safety

• Maintain inventory accuracy and control, including returns and damages.
• Manage associate hours and activities to limit overtime and meet productivity targets.
• Ensure daily activities align with safety strategy and applicable regulatory and company requirements.
• Provide safety communication, training, feedback, and direction.

Customer and Fleet Operations

• Understand location-specific customer goals and help meet customer objectives.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Plan work assignments for effective use of fleet and warehouse equipment.
• Ensure associates understand safe and efficient equipment operation.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related functional experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills are required.
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills are required.
• Regular, predictable full attendance is essential.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and work at the specified location and schedule is required.

Physical Requirements

• The role requires reading, verbal and written communication, information analysis, and understanding instructions.
• The associate may stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
• Close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision and the ability to adjust focus are required.
