Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Own month-end close and day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring all deliverables are accurate, well-supported, and completed on time
- Apply advanced GAAP knowledge to complex transactions, exercising independent judgment and serving as the team's go-to technical resource
- Strengthen the internal control environment by assessing risks, closing control gaps, and implementing practical solutions with minimal supervision
- Monitor KPIs and performance data to identify trends, flag issues early, and drive consistent, high-quality output
- Challenge existing processes and lead improvement initiatives from idea through execution, leveraging tools like Excel, Qlik, and Power Query to drive efficiency and automation
- Mentor junior staff and teammates through coaching, technical guidance, and feedback that builds long-term capability
- Resolve issues independently and communicate risks proactively, keeping management informed before problems escalate
- Cultivate strong working relationships across the organization, engaging effectively with teammates, stakeholders, and leadership alike
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- CPA preferred
- MBA preferred
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Proficiency in the use of Qlik sense and Power Query preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders
- Strong problem solving, judgment, time management, and organizational skills
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening are required
