Duties And Responsibilities
- Foster continuous improvement in regulatory compliance processes.
- Monitor regulatory developments, assess their impact on the Bank, and suggest necessary changes in policies and procedures.
- Support in conducting compliance risk assessments across business lines and ensure appropriate controls are implemented
- Conduct gap analysis on new/amended laws and regulations, interpret results, map the regulation to respective business units and release communicate as required.
- Implement all new/amended regulations across the Bank to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper maintenance for the regulatory obligations and breach registers and maintain records of all regulatory submissions and ensure deadlines are met.
- Support in conducting investigations into potential compliance breaches or regulatory violations, including gathering data and preparing reports for senior management review.
- Support in assessing the compliance risks associated with the Bank’s business activities, including the development of new products and services.
- Maintain and regularly update an inventory of all applicable laws, regulations, and rules issued by relevant regulatory authorities affecting the Bank’s business and operations.
• UAE Nationals Preferred
- 4+ years in financial services, with focus on compliance, regulatory affairs, and risk management in a top tier bank.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance or in a similar related field.
- Relevant compliance certification (e.g. CCO, CAMS etc.)
- Understanding of UAE Central Bank rules, Ministry of Finance, FATCA/CRS regulations, industry best practices, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Good analytical, planning, organizing, and investigating skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication in English and Arabic.
- Strong Teamwork skills with objectivity and openness to feedback
