Senior .NET Developer (ASP.NET MVC)

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using ASP.NET MVC 5 on .NET Framework 4.6+
• Develop and manage secure RESTful APIs for integration with internal and external government systems
• Ensure compliance with government security frameworks, data protection regulations, and audit requirements
• Design and optimise SQL Server databases including performance tuning, indexing, and data consistency
• Deploy and manage applications on IIS per enterprise hosting and security standards
• Monitor application performance, scalability, and availability with IT operations
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application, API, and database layers with proper documentation
• Participate in change management — release planning, impact analysis, and rollback strategies
• Maintain detailed technical documentation aligned with governance and audit requirements
• Support integration with national digital platforms and shared government services

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of .NET development with strong expertise in ASP.NET MVC 5 and .NET Framework 4.6+
• Proficiency in C# and solid understanding of object-oriented design principles
• Strong SQL Server experience — database design, optimisation, and stored procedures
• Hands-on IIS deployment, configuration, and performance tuning
• Proven experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs in enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of secure application development and web security standards
• Experience in structured SDLC, governance, and compliance-driven environments
• Familiarity with Git or similar version control tools
• Arabic language proficiency — spoken and written (mandatory)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in government or regulated sector environments
• Familiarity with the UAE digital government ecosystem and integration standards
• Exposure to .NET Core / .NET 6+ for future transformation initiatives
• Frontend experience — HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Knowledge of enterprise security practices and performance optimisation
