Job Overview

  • The Data Science Consultant sits within Stellar’s Solutions practice.
  • The team turns data into decisions, delivering customized insights through data analysis and modeling.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead delivery of projects across Value Creation Insights and other engagements.
  • Act as translator between business and technical requirements.
  • Support Executive Team and Sales in building proposals.
  • Build custom analytical approaches using Python/SQL.
  • Own quality control across standard and custom data pipelines.
  • Translate findings into PowerPoint presentations and Power BI dashboards.
  • Represent Stellar in client read outs.
  • Manage handovers to clients.
  • Support Value Creation Insights Product Lead.
  • Follow information security policies.
  • Proactively identify and push for improvements.

Education, Required Skills and Experience

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, or Engineering.
  • 3+ years of professional experience, ideally in strategy consulting.
  • At least one year in Growth, Strategy, and Marketing.
  • Strong command of quantitative methods.
  • Demonstrated track record building robust analytics solutions.
  • Ability to structure problems and carry solutions through to execution.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of supervised/unsupervised learning, data transformation, data visualization, Python data science packages, NLP, and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Working familiarity with MLOps, SSH, Linux, Bash, UI development, system architecture, agile.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Respectful team player with high ethical standards.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Due diligence experience in deal/transaction context.
  • Multilingual.
  • Track record of high achievement.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps Services.
  • Experience with deep learning libraries (TensorFlow or PyTorch).
  • Hands on experience with cloud based NLP/LLM platforms.
  • Knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes).
