Stantec has an exciting opportunity for a Vancouver based Senior Mining Engineer (12+ years) to join our collaborative, vibrant, and supportive team.

This position requires an individual with diverse mining experience, some combination of operations, engineering, and corporate office experience is a plus, as well as proven technical competencies to support our mining sector clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and economic solutions related to mining engineering, mine planning, permitting support, geotechnical inputs, and financial analysis.

Willingness to lead and manage successful team projects, be a technical lead on multi-disciplinary projects, and perform business development functions are desirable traits for this role.

• Provide mine engineering and financial expertise through strong operational and project-based experience.
• Assist in developing and expanding our service offerings with new and existing clients.
• Manage tasks and direct and develop our staff as required.
• Capability to develop project budgets, determine project scope, establish schedules, process appropriate paperwork, and interacting with clients.
• Ability and desire to engage in business development (e.g. develop proposals and identify project opportunities) with a focus on external relationships and key clients globally.
