Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee engineering, design, and technical execution of Fives Conveying projects from concept to completion
- Develop and review engineering designs, layout drawings, 3D models, and fabrication drawings for P&F conveyor systems using CAD and FEA tools
- Coordinate with Fives Conveying headquarters for design reviews and compliance with proprietary technologies
- Support site installation and commissioning by providing technical guidance and resolving engineering issues
- Provide technical input for tenders, cost estimation, and technical proposals for conveying projects
- Ensure engineering documentation is prepared and archived according to standards and ISO procedures
- Develop technical specifications for local procurement of materials and subcontracted works
- Monitor project progress against design deliverables and propose corrective actions
- Mentor junior engineers and introduce best practices in mechanical design and conveyor technology
- Support after sales activities including troubleshooting and performance upgrades
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering experience
- Proven experience in design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical conveying systems
- Proficient in SolidWorks and CAD software
- Proficient in MS Office
- Willingness to travel regionally/internationally frequently

Position Summary
- Fives Services Gulf is actively seeking a Senior Mechanical/Project Engineer (Conveying) to join our team in Bahrain.
- Fives Services Gulf is the Fives service Centre for the Middle East, with a team of 160 people based in Bahrain, UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the engineering, design, and technical execution of Fives Conveying projects from concept to completion.
- Develop and review engineering designs, layout drawings, 3D models, and detailed fabrication drawings for P&F conveyor systems using CAD and FEA tools.
- Coordinate closely with Fives Conveying headquarters for design reviews, technical clarifications, and compliance.
- Support operation/project team, site installation and commissioning by providing technical guidance.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to provide technical input for tenders, cost estimation, and technical proposals.
- Ensure all engineering documentation is prepared, reviewed, and archived according to standards and ISO procedures.
- Develop technical specifications for local procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted works.
- Monitor project progress against design deliverables and propose corrective actions.
- Contribute to local engineering capability development by mentoring junior engineers.
- Support after sales activities including troubleshooting, modification, and performance upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements.
- Prepare calculation reports using FEA Software and get validated by the BO.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or a relevant field.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant engineering experience.
- Proven experience in design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical conveying systems.
- Proficient use of SolidWorks and CAD software.
