Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and review HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs for villa units.
• Coordinate mechanical design with architectural and structural disciplines.
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing.
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Conduct on-site inspections and supervise installation for compliance.
• Resolve design conflicts and provide technical support during construction.
• Ensure designs meet local codes, standards, and sustainability goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design review meetings.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and mechanical-scope documentation.
• Participate in client meetings and present design solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in MEP mechanical design for residential projects.
• Professional Engineer license or equivalent certification is required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC design software is required.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, ASHRAE, and fire protection standards is required.
• Experience with on-site supervision and construction coordination is required.
• The role requires on-site work at Mina Rashid for the duration of the project.
