- Serve as a primary senior asset in securing major regional masterplanning and urban development projects
- Lead technical and strategic review of high stakes RFPs and author comprehensive project methodologies
- Provide day to day design direction for masterplanning teams, translating high level visions into executable design strategies
- Guide projects through visioning, concept development, schematic design, and detailed design phases
- Lead high level client engagements, design workshops, and milestone presentations
- Apply deep knowledge of Middle Eastern regional planning regulations to ensure innovative and compliant spatial strategies
Requirements
- Minimum 15+ years of experience delivering large scale urban development and masterplanning projects within the Middle East
- Proven track record carrying complex masterplans from visioning through detailed design to authority sign off
- Strong history of leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams of architects, urban designers, and technical consultants
- Deep understanding of regional urban design principles, strategic development frameworks, and local planning regulations

Overview
- A leading international multi disciplinary practice is seeking a highly experienced Senior Masterplanning Lead / Senior Urban Designer to join their Dubai Studio.
- The role acts as a pivotal link between high level strategic masterplanning and hands on team management, providing critical design leadership and driving multidisciplinary coordination.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary senior asset in securing major regional masterplanning and urban development projects.
- Lead the technical and strategic review of high stakes RFPs.
- Author comprehensive project methodologies, delivery strategies, and integrated master programmes.
- Leverage extensive portfolio and industry standing to elevate the studio's credibility during the proposal stage.
- Provide day to day design direction for the studio's masterplanning teams.
- Translate high level conceptual visions into robust, executable design strategies.
- Guide projects seamlessly through visioning, concept development, schematic design, and detailed design phases.
- Lead internal design charrettes and reviews to unblock bottlenecks and ensure high design standards.
- Lead high level client engagements, design workshops, and milestone presentations.
- Act as lead negotiator to defend design methodologies and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate seamlessly with external sub consultants, engineers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Apply deep knowledge of Middle Eastern regional planning regulations to ensure innovative and compliant spatial strategies.
Qualifications & Expertise
- Minimum 15+ years of experience with a proven track record delivering large scale urban development and masterplanning projects within the Middle East.
- Demonstrated ability to carry complex masterplans from blank page visioning through to detailed design and final authority sign off.
- Strong history of leading and coordinating diverse, multidisciplinary teams of architects, urban designers, and technical consultants.
- Deep understanding of regional urban design principles, strategic development frameworks, and local planning regulations.
- Sharp ability to align design solutions with commercial realities, client objectives, and stringent project timelines.
