Role Overview
The Senior Managing Consultant, Services Business Development, contributes to sales targets and generates and closes opportunities with Mastercard clients.
The role requires expertise in commercial payments and new payment flows, consultative sales management, problem solving, and senior client relationship management.
Key stakeholders include commercial clients, CFOs, and treasury functions.
Sales and Relationship Responsibilities
- Build effective relationships with internal and external clients.
- Identify implicit business needs and the most critical problems to solve.
- Lead pitches from storyboarding through face-to-face presentation.
- Prepare concise, persuasive materials for different audiences.
- Manage proposals from early leads through signature.
- Deliver against sales targets and develop intellectual capital.
Project Responsibilities
- Coach and provide feedback to team members.
- Support problem solving and structure project work plans.
- Formulate, articulate, and prioritise project activities.
- Create and deliver persuasive presentations.
- Oversee the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of analyses.
- Develop conclusions and recommendations.
Experience and Qualifications
- Corporate or wholesale banking experience in payments and cash management is required.
- An undergraduate degree is required.
- Strong business development and relationship management experience is required.
- Technical fluency and ability to simplify technology concepts are required.
- Management consulting experience, especially treasury consulting exposure, is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively and build consensus is required.
- Experience managing projects and teams is required.
- Fluency in English is required.
- An MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
