Role Overview
Platform persistence provides a federated query engine service for applications and AI agents to access external data sources.
The group supports relational databases, datalakes, and web services with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
The Senior Manager partners with business stakeholders and engineering leaders to drive strategic roadmaps and build a strong engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Manage product development activities and end-to-end engineering deliverables.
- Lead engineers through technical guidance, feedback, mentoring, and career development.
- Coordinate with product, design, support, quality, development, cloud, and platform teams.
- Drive engineering excellence, code quality, delivery velocity, testing strategy, and test automation.
- Manage departmental resources, staffing, and cross-functional priorities.
Requirements
- Bring 12 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 8 years with a master's degree, 5 years with a PhD, or equivalent experience.
- Have at least 5 years of experience as a technical lead for technical teams.
- Demonstrate advanced coding skills in Java, Shell, JavaScript, or a similar language.
