About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced and strategic procurement leader to join our team as Assistant General Manager - Direct Purchase . This role will be responsible for driving purchasing excellence, supplier development, cost optimization, localization initiatives, and successful execution of new product launches within a dynamic automotive manufacturing environment.
The position involves managing an annual spend exceeding ₹2,000 Crores , leading a team of procurement professionals, and collaborating with cross-functional and global stakeholders to ensure business objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute global purchasing strategies while ensuring process compliance.
- Develop and strengthen the supplier base in India in line with segment strategies.
- Lead and support supplier negotiations and annual cost-saving initiatives.
- Drive successful launches of new projects related to Seat Belts, Airbags, and Steering Wheels.
- Manage supplier capacity planning and supply chain risk mitigation.
- Lead change management and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) activities.
- Ensure contribution margin targets are achieved for all new projects.
- Support localization initiatives and supplier development programs.
