About the Role

- Provide project control support and develop, implement, and maintain best practice project management processes to support Projects
- Develop, implement, maintain, and promote the use of industry proven best project management practices in the Enterprise Projects organization
- Establish, communicate, implement, and reinforce project management standards to be used in Enterprise Projects
- Develop, approve, and implement all project controls processes, procedures, forms, and tools
- Identify project controls software requirements and ensure requirement dates meet planned implementation dates
- Select and develop staff to carry out the functions of the department and/or matrixed to project teams
- Ensure project reporting and metrics requirements are established and accurately produced per required reporting cycles
- Own the program and project schedules, including systems, processes, and operating procedures
- Maintain the cost management system for Projects including establishment of cost baselines, change control, collection of actuals, forecasts, earned value
- Contribute to the preparation of the department’s annual budget
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent experience in project management, project controls, finance, engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years’ experience in Nuclear, Project Controls, Project Management, and/or related fields
- 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- PMP is considered an asset

Job Overview
- Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results driven professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager, Project Controls Pickering Refurbishment.
- Reporting to the Director, Project Controls, the Senior Manager is responsible for providing project control support and to develop, implement, and maintain best practice project management processes to support Projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Accountable to provide project control support and to develop, implement, and maintain best practice project management processes to support Projects.
- Develops, implements, maintains, and promotes the use of industry proven best project management practices in the Enterprise Projects organization.
- Establishes, communicates, implements, and reinforces project management standards to be used in Enterprise Projects.
- Develops, approves, and implements all project controls processes, procedures, forms, and tools.
- Identifies project controls software requirements and ensure requirement dates meet planned implementation dates to support overall project objectives.
- Selects and develops staff to carry out the functions of the department and/or matrixed to project teams.
- Reporting: Ensures project reporting and metrics requirements are established and accurately produced per required reporting cycles.
- Scheduling: Owns the program and project schedules, including systems, processes, and operating procedures.
- Cost Management: Maintains the cost management system for Projects including establishment of cost baselines, change control, collection of actual, forecasts, earned value, etc.
- Integration: Maintains a record of all governance and integration of governance with tools.
- Contribute to the preparation of the department’s annual budget.
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent experience in project management, project controls, finance, engineering, or a related field
- PMP is considered an asset.
- 10+ years’ experience in Nuclear, Project Controls, Project Management, and/or related fields.
- 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong planning, managerial, and leadership skills.
