Senior Manager - Landscape Design (DEL2)

Role overview

Design management and technical excellence

• Lead landscape and public realm design activities across multiple projects and approved masterplans.
• Champion design excellence, innovation, creativity, destination identity, and immersive guest experiences.
• Oversee technical design deliverables including drawings, specifications, calculations, reports, and BIM outputs.

Governance and consultant management

• Support consultant procurement, technical reviews, commercial evaluations, tender assessments, and appointment recommendations.
• Manage external consultants against contractual obligations, programme requirements, and quality expectations.
• Drive consultant accountability through monitoring, coordination, issue resolution, governance reviews, stage gates, and executive reporting.

Project delivery and performance

• Oversee planning, delivery, and implementation of landscape and public realm projects throughout the full lifecycle.
• Review design packages covering landscape, public realm, lighting, signage, and wayfinding.
• Coordinate architecture, infrastructure, utilities, transportation, engineering, and other disciplines while managing risks, milestones, budget, programme, and quality.

Compliance and sustainability

• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations, authority requirements, environmental standards, and project-specific design criteria.
• Safeguard approved Master Plans, Design Guidelines, and Development Control requirements.
• Promote water-sensitive design, climate-responsive solutions, native and adaptive planting, biodiversity, resource management, and landscape resilience.

Health, safety, and culture

• Champion health, safety, and wellbeing protocols and foster collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
• Mentor junior team members and support internal capability development and knowledge sharing.
• Undertake design risk management, including identification, review, and transfer of residual risks to delivery teams.

Candidate qualifications

• Extensive experience in large-scale destination developments, including land development and land servicing infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of landscape architecture, public realm design, project governance, and consultant management.
• Experience within the Middle East is highly desirable, with familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulations, standards, and sustainability requirements also desirable.
