Senior Manager / Manager, Inventory Management within the Supply Chain Management business unit.
The role oversees inventory management across international manufacturing plants and distribution networks.
The position is based at Sun House in Mumbai and includes an estimated 3–5 travel days per quarter.
Operations Management
- Monitor plant-level inventory health and maintain accurate, real-time stock visibility.
- Ensure material planning and availability align with production requirements.
- Manage batch-wise inventory tracking and shelf-life monitoring.
- Mitigate risks related to excess inventory, expiries, and stock-outs.
Inventory Optimization
- Lead inventory reduction initiatives while maintaining customer service commitments.
- Optimize safety stock, replenishment models, stocking policies, and inventory segmentation.
- Improve inventory turns, stock availability, inventory productivity, and utilization across global facilities.
Digital Transformation and Governance
- Automate inventory reporting and analytical processes using BI and planning tools.
- Support predictive analytics, AI, and intelligent inventory management initiatives.
- Standardize reporting processes, inventory policies, data standards, and KPI definitions across geographies.
- Govern reviews of inventory accuracy, aging, excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain planning, procurement, logistics, finance, and commercial teams.
- Provide inventory insights for S&OP and IBP/Kinaxis processes.
- Coordinate inventory analytics and reporting requirements for international stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Postgraduate qualification in supply chain, operations, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain planning and operations.
- Pharmaceutical formulation industry experience is preferred.
