Senior Manager - Cooling System Design and Development

Technical Skill Set Required

• Excellent technical knowledge and hands-on experience in Radiator, CAC, Fan Assembly (including eViscous Clutch).
• Deep understanding and experience of testing at component, system and vehicle-level.
• Hands-on experience in DFMEA, DVP and 8D.
• Expertise in UG-NX with hands-on experience in 3D and 2D along with GD&T.
• Understanding of Commercial Vehicle Development process.

Soft Skills Required

• Good communication, interpersonal and co-ordination skills.
• Very good skill in explaining technical concepts in power-point presentations.
• Good team-player.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Create concepts for Cooling System including Radiator, CAC, Fan Assembly.
• Define specifications and prepare component and system spec. books for Radiator, CAC, Fan Assembly and other Heat Exchangers.
• Design and development as per Cost, Quality and Timeline targets for all projects and PoCs.
• Do First principle design calculations for estimating Cooling System Performance.
• Selection of suitable Radiator, CAC, Fan Assembly and other Heat Exchangers.
• Hands-on experience at Child-part level.
• Prepare / check drawings and setup DMU.
• Prepare and review design, FMEA and DVP.
• Resolve issues during proto-build, testing, development, production and field issues with root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions, through problem-solving techniques.
• Facilitate variant reduction and cost reduction by generating ideas and ensure implementation.
• Generate innovative ideas of filing patents and implement in production.
• Co-ordination with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare effective presentations to ensure clear information / communication to management and peers.

Qualifications

• Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automobile Engineering / Equivalent Degree.
