Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and contract activities across complex engineering and construction projects
- Support procurement strategies, tender processes, contract awards, and commercial approvals
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer construction, supplier, and subcontract agreements
- Evaluate and manage variations, claims, change orders, and commercial risks
- Review contractor applications, supplier invoices, and oversee final account settlements
- Support project budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting
- Drive dispute avoidance and support the resolution of contractual issues when they arise
- Partner with project, procurement, legal, and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in contracts, commercial management, quantity surveying, or a related discipline
- Strong experience delivering data centres or other large scale complex engineering projects
- Experience working for a leading French or Italian contractor is essential
- Client side experience across both pre contract and post contract commercial activities
- Proven track record managing variations, claims, change management, and commercial risk
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management best practices
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
- Relevant degree qualification and professional membership or chartered status preferred

Role Overview
- JDL Recruitment are partnering with a leading hyperscale data centre developer to hire a Senior Manager – Contracts Manager for their Dubai team.

What you'll be doing
