Position Summary

  • NYU Abu Dhabi seeks to appoint a Senior Manager, Community Values and Student Conduct reporting to Senior Dean of Students.
  • The Senior Manager supports NYUAD's efforts to enhance students' conflict fluency and ethics awareness through educational programming.
  • This position is responsible for managing and implementing Community Values and Conflict Transformation initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day operations of the Community Values and Student Conduct Office.
  • Support implementation of departmental goals and strategic priorities.
  • Respond promptly to reports of non academic student misconduct and adjudicate complex cases.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to ensure consistent application of community standards.
  • Strengthen and manage the formal student conduct process.
  • Manage communications, inquiries, administrative requests, student conduct checks, and alternative resolution processes.
  • Process, investigate, and adjudicate individual student conduct cases.
  • Partner closely with Residential Life team to strengthen residential conduct policies.
  • Work closely with counterparts across the NYU global network.
  • Develop and facilitate training programs for students, faculty, staff.
  • Manage delivery of educational sanction programs and intervention initiatives.
  • Coordinate and enhance student development programming across the student experience lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Higher Education, Conflict Resolution, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, or related fields.
  • 5+ years working in higher education or related experience.
  • Experience in student conduct and case management.
  • Experience developing and delivering experiential training.
  • Proficient knowledge of student due process and FERPA.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work some evening/weekend hours.

  • NYU Abu Dhabi is a degree granting research university with a fully integrated liberal arts and science undergraduate program.
  • This role may require regular evening and weekend commitments throughout the academic year.
