Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies focused on transport projects to maximize profitability and value.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and partners in the transport sector.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring adherence to cost controls.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, procurement, and project management teams to ensure cohesive project delivery.
  • Identify commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies specific to transport projects.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the commercial team involved in transport initiatives.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on commercial performance to senior management.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and regulatory developments in the transport industry.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Cost Engineering, Legal or related field; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • 10 15 years Commercial construction delivery experience ideally Contractor and Consultancy and working in Program wide roles, working with large commercial teams across multiple projects.
  • Major program experience managing multiple projects, conflicting priorities, and stakeholders.
  • Previous KSA /Middle East experience preferred.
  • Experience leading Commercial Management of Major Projects in a highly regulated, complex, matrixed environments evidencing Full project life cycle involvement (Bidding thorough to Final Account).
  • Subject matter expert in contracts, claims, arbitration.
  • Supports team through period of business changes in responding to changing business requirements.
  • Provides strategic support and guidance in managing and prioritizing the workload of a commercial and contract administration team, deadline driven and ability to optimize workload.
  • Ability to leverage exceptional written and verbal skills in English articulate ideas, strategies, and project performance to a range of audiences and to influence at senior levels.
  • Ability to leverage in depth knowledge of enterprise level management software, such as Prism, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Leadership skills to inspire large, diverse teams and deliver results.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to lead the commercial function's direction, specifically endorsing or opposing practices as needed.
